冀汸，1920年12月出生在荷兰殖民地中爪哇井里汶（Cinibon）。幼年被祖父、祖母带回国，定居湖北省天门市农村，在私塾读书。1931年冬，才进入正规学校。1947年毕业于复旦大学历史系。历任中、小教师、杂志、副刊文学编辑，业余从事文学创作。已出版的诗集有：《跃动的夜》（1942）、《有翅膀的》（1951）、《喜日》（1951）、《桥和墙》（1953）、《白色花》（二十人合集，1981）、《我赞美》（1983）、《没有休止符的情歌》（1986）、《灌木年轮》（1995）等。

Ji Fang, born in Cinibon, Java, Indonesia in 1920, brought back home in his childhood by his grandparents and settled in the countryside of Tianmen, Hubei province, where his grandparents’ parents once lived. He received his early education in a countryside private school and studied the courses of Chinese classics. In the winter of 1931, he attended a formal school to start his new school education. In 1947, he graduated from the History Department of Fudan University in Beibei close to Chongqing, when and where he begun his writing career as a poet. He has once been a primary school teacher, a middle school teacher, a magazine editor as well as a supplement editor after his college graduation. In his spare time, he wrote some literary works, and some collections of his poems have been published under the titles Pulsating Night (1942)、With Wings (1951)、Happy Days (1951)、Bridges and Walls (1953)、White Flowers (as one of the twenty co-writers, 1981)、What I Admire (1983)、Love Songs without Pause (1986)、Growth Ring of Shrubs (1995) and so on.
